Bath Time Boys!

As soon as supper is over, Chris goes to the bathroom and starts the bath water. That simple action starts a frenzy for the boys to see which one can get cleaned up and get out of the high chairs first. I let them both down and the race is on to see who can get to Daddy first. Who ever does get to get undressed first and is the first to get in the tub. It's their favorite part of the day.

So maybe Daddy has a little too much fun with the foam soap they got for Christmas (thanks Jason and Lisa, it is a hit).

They love when Daddy sings the "Splish, Splash" song. (He won't do it when I have the camera out...guess he's been embarrassed enough.) They both dance and splash like crazy. Usually there ends up being more water on the outside of the tub.

They have tons of bath toys, but usually end up playing with the shampoo bottle. They also try very hard to dodge Daddy squirting them with the little rubber ducky.
*before you ask, the razor you see in the back ground was quickly removed as soon as I finished cleaning the kitchen and got to the bathroom. Surprisingly, they never even noticed it.

March for Babies

On April 17th I will be doing the March for Babies. March of Dimes is an organization that strives to prevent premature births and gives hope to the babies that are born too soon. Heath and Hunter were born 6 weeks early and spent time in the NICU. We were so blessed that the boys did not have a long, extended stay. The NICU ride is such a roller coaster, and I know it was much worse for those parents that had to stay longer than we did. I feel that this is a way that I can give back.

If you look on my side bar, there is a place where you can donate to my walk if you wish to do so. I know it shows that I have already met the goal, but no one says that I can't go over that. I have already been so blessed by kind friends and family donations.

I understand that money is tight, so if you are unable to donate, please at least say a prayer for those families who are still on the roller coaster ride.

Twinsanity!

When we go out in public, the boys tend to draw attention. All the admirers are usually women, mostly grandmothers, and they tend to stop us and let us know how adorable they think the twins are (which I usually agree with). We have gotten used to it. It usually doesn't bother me, unless the boys are cranky, I'm in a hurry, and they are telling me about their cousin's twice removed, brother-in-law's friend who knows someone who also had twins.

Well...today was different. Today, Mom and I had hair appointments in San Angelo and had other errands to run. The boys were dressed like this:
I never thought twice about it, I just thought they were cute outfits.

I bet every MAN that we came across today stopped us. At least 10 at every store. They didn't tell me about the person that they once knew who had twins, but they did stop and admire. One man went and got his wife and drug her back to where I was shopping. Another asked if they were both boys (typical man).

Mom and I found this hysterical. Yes, the women stopped and admired, too, but the grown MEN?!?!?

Camo...hides you in the stand...stands out in the crowd.

Quirky or Crazy?

I stole this off of Mandi's Blog.

We all have our Quirks, here are some of mine:

  • I am probably the most type-A person you know.
  • I am extremely organized and I know where everything is in my house (unless Chris or H&H moved it).
  • I hate clutter. I just had a garage sale last weekend to get rid of the "stuff". I made over $250. Yeah!
  • I pick out my clothes for the entire week on Sunday night and hang them on the door of the closet. This way, I don't have to waste time in the mornings trying to decide what to wear.
  • I do not rinse the dishes before I put them in the dish washer. I figure I paid an outrageously high price for a dish washer, let's see what that baby can do.
  • I vacuum out the diaper bag, weekly.
  • I have a piano in my home that I can't play, but I think it brings a nice touch of elegance to the place.
  • I would prefer to have my soft drinks cold out of the can. I do not like ice. (interesting note: when I was pregnant, I couldn't get enough ice. I loved it then).
  • I love peanut butter burritos.

I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting (possibly you could add them about me). What are some of your quirks?

Beeeeeeep

Beep... Beeep.... Beeep... Beep... Beep...Beeeeeep

We interrupt this blog to bring you technical difficulties.

I know it has been a while since I have updated the ol` blog, but my computer was sick. After several days at the "docs" office we seem to be up and running again. Thank goodness, I felt like someone had cut off my right arm. Big thanks to the tech man!

We may now resume regular programming. :)

I know there were 2 boys around here somewhere...

I was busy cooking dinner the other day while the boys were playing in the livingroom. Every so often, I stuck my head in and checked on them. At one point I looked in and saw Hunter playing on a pillow in the hallway, but Heath was no where to be found.

I looked everywhere- down the hall, behind the recliner, in the toy box, under the coffee table...I couldn't find the kid anywhere. I looked at Hunter and asked him where his brother was, knowing I wouldn't get an answer...or would I? He gave me the most devious little grin, stood up and opened the cabinet. Inside...Heath was reclining back in the linen closet with the biggest grin on his face.

Since then, this is the favorite hang out any time the boys are in the living room. They tear open the cabinet, pull out all of the pillows and blankets, and take turns (yeah right) climbing in and out and shutting the door on each other.
