The Devil's River

This years relaxing trip to the Devil's River was just what the doctor ordered. We spent an entire week taking it easy in the land of no cell phones, no Internet, no TV, and no outside contact what so ever.

A few things I learned:

*Gar will attack (and they have no problem shooting someone in the back)

*Hot dogs aren't bad with out the weeny, but the bun is a must

*Oil must be added to the generator at 4am every morning, no matter when you last added it.

*McCamey schools don't teach counting

*You don't need a net to play volleyball

*Uncle Chris is a pretty good guy

The babies and Vacation

We had our last doctors visit in Houston on Tuesday. The doctor said that the babies look great. Their heartbeats and sizes were exactly where they needed to be at 12 weeks. The doctor had a hard time measuring their sizes because they were both doing aerobics and bouncing like they were in a fun house. No wonder I've been so sick, the little "fishermen" won't be still.

Tomorrow, we will leave again to go to the Devil's River. I've been looking forward to this trip for a while. I have a book, a hammock, and quite a few floaties for the river to keep my self busy. I promise I won't take it too hard.

Until next time...

Here we go again!

Tomorrow, Chris and I will leave for Houston for the last time. We have our final doctors appointment where everything will be checked again and we will hopefully be released to a doctor closer to home for the rest of the pregnancy. We will be back on Wednesday and I will keep you updated on how the appointment goes.

I will survive...maybe

When I logged on to make a posting tonight, I had an entire list of pregnancy gripes that I was going to lay on you. However, I'm going to try to remain positive and focus on the two blessings that I have growing inside me. Yes, I'm still sick, and no, it hasn't lightened up much, but I think I will survive for now. Chris and I wanted this so badly, and as miserable as I am, I'm still glad to be part of this miracle. I am officially 11 weeks and 2 days and I as of today I have lost 10 pounds (I'm not sure that is the way pregnancy is supposed to work), but hopefully this sickness will pass with the first trimester.

Amy's Wedding

My oldest sister, Amy, got married this weekend to a great guy, Rob. The closest family traveled to Breckenridge to witness this blessed event. The ceremony was short and sweet and the cloud cover made the weather outside delightful. I leave you with a few pictures and best wishes for the happy couple.
