Just one more thing...

I know, I know, I don't post for a while and then we get 4 different post in one day. Just bare with me, this will be the last one.

I just wanted to let you know that I got the results of my blood test back today and I do not have gestational diabetes. Instead, I am hypoglycemic. The nurse said that my body handles the sugar well and all of my test were within the normal range, except for the last one. It showed that my sugar levels dropped rapidly in hour 3 of the testing. The levels should have been between 100 and 150, and mine were 61. She said that I just need to make sure to eat something about every 3 hours so they won't drop. I knew something was wrong during the test because I was very shaky.

I guess the only remedy is to carry peanut butter crackers around with me at all times. I can handle that, I sure do like to eat now days.

Baby Shower!

The wonderful ladies that I work with threw me a baby shower yesterday. It was so much fun and the boys should be set for at least the first few years of life. Chris and I are very blessed with the friends and family that we have. I have never seen such a gathering of baby things.

I have the greatest Mom in the world

My wonderful mom is painting the babies' room because I can't be around the fumes. When she finishes painting the entire room, she will paint a tree and two baby deer on one of the walls. She is the greatest and I will be sure to post more pictures when she has it completely finished.

The Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

I know these pictures are a little late, but a few weeks ago my family and I went with the Sheffield Church of Christ to Fiddlesticks Farms. We enjoyed a crisp day of pumpkin picking and trying to find our way through the corn mazes. The picture of me was stole from my friend Keva's blog. Baby Videos

Here are some pictures from the sonogram specialist today. The boys are both doing really well. I on the other hand had some blood test that did not come back well. Once again they show that I am anemic, and my Flinstone Vitamins with Iron are helping, but not enough. So I will have to start taking Iron supplements again. Last time I did this I threw them up everytime I got them down. I start taking them again tonight, I will let you know how it goes.

I also tested positive for gestational diabites. I have to go through some more testing on Monday, but to get me ready for the test the doctor has put me on a Donut Diet. Terriable I know :). I have to eat a donut with every meal and another before I go to bed each night. This is supposed to get my body ready for the blood test so the doctor can tell how my body is handling the sugar. I bet not many other people have been put on a donut diet. I just hope the nurses don't comment about my weight next time I have to weigh.

This is a video of Baby A. The picture is not very good, but you can make out the face. The part that is going right under his chin is the umbilical cord and the stuff off to the right is the placenta. It doesn't make for a great picture, but apparently it is pretty squished in there. Be sure to notice the little fingers that are sneaking around his neck. That would be Baby B trying to strangle him. Even though the babies are in different sacs, the nurse said that the membrane was so thin that they could still beat up on each other.

This is a video of Baby B. He never does really show you the front of his face because his hand is in front of it. He is having to shield himself from the blows to the head caused by Baby A's knee. Apparently we have two fighters on our hands. I hope this isn't a glimps of how life will be once they get here. You can, however, see Baby B's ears and shoulder really well. Too cute!

Baby Update

I had another sonogram yesterday. The boys are doing great. Baby A is 1 pound 13 ounces (68th percentile) and Baby B is 1 pound 14 ounces (71st percentile). They are both above average, even compared to singletons. The boys are healthy and very active. Baby A is still really proud of his hands and doesn't let us get a good look at his face, but Baby B gave us an adorable yawn. So Cute!!

None of the pictures are very good, but I have to go back on Thursday, so maybe we will get some better pictures for me to post.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's 60th birthday. So this post is dedicated to her, the wonderful woman who has raised me and taught me what is important in life.

I once thought when I graduated from high school that I was done "needing" my mom, but I soon found out that I was wrong. I have loved every minute of living only 17 miles away from her and working every day with her (she is my secretary at school). We have grown closer and I truly consider her one of my best friends. Granted, she will still tell me when I am out of line, or when my clothes look inappropriate, but I have come to respect her opinion more and more.

She has been with me through the highs and lows, she has laughed with me and cried with me. She even painted my entire house. She has taught me when to bite my tongue and when to lash out. Most of all, she has been a wonderful example of the type of parent that I want to be.

I love you Mom, and I hope you have a wonderful birthday and many more to come.

As requested...

Here are some pictures of me at 23 weeks. I feel huge but the doctor tells me that I am measuring where I am supposed to for how far along I am. I bet she tells every patient that, though. Yes, that is my belly button sticking through, I know it is disgusting, but there isn't much I can do about it. I've already tried taping it down, it doesn't work.

Be sure to notice the really cool "Twin Shirt" that one of my great friends gave to me. She is a teacher that I taught with in Boerne and I miss her greatly. Look Darrah, the shirt fits!
