Sunday - Chris left on a fishing trip
Monday - Mom called me at work on my lunch break to let me know that Heath was running fever. I took off the rest of the day and took him to the doctor. Ear infection - amoxicillin. Terrible night that night, poor baby ran fever and cried all night.
Tuesday - Sent the boys out to Mom's and went to work (after NO sleep). Heath still ran fever all day. I got a call from Mom to let me know that she was "Sinking." She claimed that Hunter and Kali were destroying her house and Heath just wanted to be held. Chris returned that evening. I ended up taking Heath to the ER because his fever was not breaking. Tylenol/Motrin every two hours wasn't doing the job. They said to keep doing what I was doing and give the antibiotics time to work. If he is still running fever in the morning, come back.
Wednesday - Poor Heath is still running fever. Call the Pediatrician's office. Get an appointment for Thursday, but I get told the same thing over the phone, "Give the antibiotics time to work." Wednesday night, Heath's fever finally came down to 99/100. What a relief!
Thursday - I called and canceled the pediatrician appointment, since the fever broke. On my way to pick up the boys after I got off of work, Mom called. Heath is fine...Hunter is now running fever. At this point, my wonderful baby sitter QUIT. She let me know that she was not going to keep another sick baby this week (I guess Heath really took it out of her). After I got the boys home, and Hunter dosed on Tylenol, I left them with Chris and I went and made out lesson plans for Friday.
Friday- I took the day off so I could stay at home with my sick babies, and neither one of them acted sick. I made an appointment with the local clinic, just in case. Right before I took Hunter to the clinic, I was changing diapers and noticed a rash on Heath. I just loaded him up and took him, too. Hunter ended up with ear infections, too, and the doc put him on antibiotics. Heath, the doc determined, is allergic to Amoxicillin, thus the rash. Friday night, Hunter ran fever again, no sleep for the weary.
Saturday - Haircuts all around. See the post below.
Sunday - Made it to church...didn't even make it through the morning announcements before I had to take Heath out because he was throwing a FIT.
I'm exhausted and not quite ready for Monday, when we start all over again.
