Wasn't it just yesterday that I brought them home from the hospital?

Dear Hunter,
Happy Birthday Sweet boy!
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the child you are right now. I know that you can’t read this, but I hope that one day you will go back and dig through this blog and come across this.
You are busy.
You are always on the go. You never sit down. You love to play football and wrestle in the floor with anyone willing (or unwilling).
You are sensitive.
You wear your heart on your selves. You are easily corrected, because one stern comment from me or Daddy and you will burst into tears. You cry when you are hurt only because you know that it will get you an extra kiss, not because you are really hurt.
You are smart.
You know over 50 sight words, along with your ABC’s, colors, numbers, and shapes. You love to show off. When you play the games on my phone, you like to purposely get the answers wrong so you can push the other words and tell me what they are.
You are sweet.
You run up to me every day when I pick you up and you give the biggest hugs. It makes my entire day. You always say, “You came back!” like you are completely shocked that I returned. You would rather hang out with your daddy. He is rougher than I am. That’s OK with me, because when you are in the mood to be sweet and cuddle, I’m the one you run to.
You are my everything. I love you,
Momma

Dear Heath,
Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!
I hope that one day when you are older, you will look back through this blog and read this and know just how special you are.
You are quiet
You are definitely not as rambunctious as your brother. You are perfectly at ease sitting quietly and playing with your trains. You can sit for hours looking at books or building blocks or playing with trucks. 90% of the time you have a truck or a train in your hands.
You are your own person.
You refuse to follow along with what others are doing. You are quite content doing your own thing and not following Hunter and Kayin around in their mischief. Since Hunter and Kayin use the potty, you choose not to. :)
You are determined.
I watched you figure out the buckle on a bag the other day. After about 5 minutes I offered to help, but you wouldn’t let me. Finally, after about 30 minutes, you had it down and you were so proud.
You are smart
You know all your sight words, letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. However, you don’t readily show off like your brother. But in a quiet moment when no one is around to witness, you love to show what you really know.
You are so sweet.
You love to cuddle. I love to snuggle with you. You don’t know the difference between hugs and kisses because you give both every time I ask. You don’t like to be without your brother. If he is not in the same room as you, you always ask where he is.
You are my everything. I love you,
Momma
