Pumpkin Carving!

I grew pumpkins!  My sweet neighbor gave me a package of Giant Pumpkin seeds (on average grows 400-500 lb pumpkins, according to the back of the package).  I was determined to make it work.

This was my first one.  Not quite 500lbs.  Not quite 5 lbs.  I'm pretty sure my hubby accidently/on purpose weedeated the vine it was on.  Then my sweet babies dropped it.  Maybe I wasn't cut out for pumpkin growing.
...but then we grew this one.  It's a little closer to 500lbs.  Maybe 30.
Almost big enough for both boys to sit on.  Almost. (disclaimer-  the boys chose their own attire, that is one battle I choose not to fight)

Ok, so I only grew two.  The vine looks big enough to grow 40, but two is all we got.

We decided to carve this one.  We bought this one.

Our very brave babysitter helped us carve this one.

...and this one.  Crazy babysitter carved 3 pumpkins with 3 two year olds!

This picture cracks me up.  I had a million outtakes and never did get a decent one.

And then I woke up this morning...Halloween Morning, and all of our pumpkins have been DESTROYED!!!  The deer ate the faces out of all of them.  They stepped on them and crunched them.  Deer season will be opening early on my front door step, and I don't care that I am married to a game warden.  :)

Fiddlesticks Farms - 2011

Once again, we enjoyed our annual trip to the pumpkin patch and took in all the festivities that the farm had to offer.  Lolly and Pops came down and went with us, and Mimi got to join us, too.

Prepare for a picture overload!

Waiting for the pig races!

Pretty sure the "Popcorn Popper" is still their favorite.  I need one of these in my back yard.  Maybe the bedtime battles would go away.
This picture of Chris cracks me up.  I really am raising 3 children.

At this point Daddy told the boys to go pick out a pumpkin, and if they could carry it, he would buy it.  Sweet, sensible Hunter found this one.
Heath found this one.  He was able to carry it Daddy, now hold up your end of the deal.
We settled for one a little smaller.

Blue Bell Ice Cream Break.  Lolly's favorite time.

Mining for Jewels.  The boys loved playing in the water and sending the "boats" sailing.

Finally the Corn maze.  It was just their size this year, since the drought had an effect on the foliage.

And last but not least, the annual picture,
How Tall this Fall?
