Church Camp 2011

Aunt Kay was our bible class teacher.  At one point she had 12 two year olds in class.

Our good friends, Eli and Landon.  Sadly, this was the best picture I got.  Something about getting 4 two year olds to sit still....impossible!

The Heart Attack

Last night Heath had a very hard time going to bed.  He talked, he sang, he played in the closet, he read books, he bothered brother, he did everything but go to sleep!  Two hours and uncountable punishments administered, I finally got him to sleep.  Chris was out fighting fires late into the night, and on a good night phone call I jokingly told him I had had enough and was going to bed and that when he came home if he found Heath wandering around, he should stick him back in bed.

I did finally get him to sleep, however, he was crying so hard before he went to sleep that once he fell asleep, he was still sobbing.  This concerned me, since he is my asthma baby, and sobbing for hours after the fact is a form of asthma.  I got up and checked on him numerous times before I feel asleep myself.

During the night sometime, Hunter made his way into our room and crawled into bed with me.  This is not uncommon, but it's for another post.  All night I tossed and turned, thinking that Heath was having asthma attack and what if he couldn't breathe.

So, as soon as I awoke this morning, I went to check on Heath.  He wasn't in his bed. Hmmm...did he get in bed with us and I didn't realize it?  I went back to my room and checked the bed again.  Nope...No Heath.  I shook Chris and told him Heath wasn't in bed.  No answer.  I panicked.  I walked down the hall, glanced in the living room, headed through the kitchen, and into the playroom.  The playroom is his favorite place to be.  He wasn't there.  More Panic!

I did the walk through again, but in reverse.  However, when I got to the living room, I looked close at the pile of clothes on the couch.  The pile of clothes that had been left out for Chris to pack for camp, so they had not been put away.  Here is what I found:

I don't know why.  Maybe he was mad at me.  Maybe he was wandering.  Maybe he really wasn't asleep like I thought when I went to bed.  Thankfully I found him, that's all that really matters.  Doctors say that I should make a full recovery from the heart attack.

By the way, Happy Father's Day!  I'll have a post later.

The Farris Family Reunion

Last weekend we went to my mom's family reunion.  I have felt really badly since the boys were born, I had not been.  So this year I made it a point to go.  I'm so glad I did.
If I hadn't have gone, I wouldn't have had the joy of playing bingo after lunch. :)

The boys slept through bingo.  That was good.  I could concentrate better.  I had to keep a close eye on my cousin, Chad.  He was cheating.

My favorite Great Aunt Thelma won the big chocolate candy bar that everyone wanted.

I love my Aunt Thelma.  She let me stay with her once in preparation for a cooking show. (Yes, I said cooking show...don't laugh)  She let me use her kitchen.

She thinks my boys are cute.
And now we are caught up.  I did have so much more to post, but since my computer crashed and ate all my pictures, we will just have to have a retake of the lake/ Sea World Weekend.

Dr. Suess Birthday Party - Happy 2 and 1/2!!

My computer Crashed!  I'm afraid that I have lost all of my pictures.  Thankfully my dear friend, Keva, saved me by giving me her pictures from the birthday party.

I think everyone had a blast.  I know I did.

Pinata` Time!

I realized how special our friends are when they walked in the door of the party.  They actually dressed up for a 2.5 birthday party.  We had a Grinch, Cindy Loo Who, all the fish, a family of Sam I Am, a Fox in Sox, Star Bellied Sneetches, and a handful of people who bought t-shirts just for the occasion.  You are all so special.
