I have the best baby sitter a person could possibly have...My Mom. Occasionally, she sends me e-mails throughout the day to let me know what is going on and to lift my spirits because I have to be away from my babies. Here is a series of today's e-mails:
Me: Hey Mom, when I come to pick up the boys this afternoon, do you think you could help me give them a haircut?
Mom: Be glad to, but did you feed them ornery pills this morning?
Me: Thanks! Do you mean that my sweet, darling, baby boys are being ornery?
Mom: Let me just tell you about this morning. You think you and Chris have poop stories, you have Nothing! I now have the ultimate Poop story!
I put the blanket over the table to make a "tent" for the boys to play in this morning. I look up and Heath is coming out of the tent and starting to whine. I look down and a BIG POOP is at his feet. There must have been a St. Bernard or a Doberman under the table with them because it was BIG.
I run to grab him before he steps in it, and apparently it has fallen out of his diaper. Yep, his diaper is hanging off of him. I tell Kali to stand guard over the poop so that Hunter doesn't get into it while I am cleaning up Heath. The entire time she is guarding, she starts screaming, Oh No! Oh No! Oh No! I have Heath on the towel on the couch cleaning him up. Are we having fun yet?!?!
Here comes Hunter out of the "tent"...he is also covered in Poop and he is carrying the big red dog sippy cup which is also covered. Kali is still screaming Oh No! Oh No!
I finally got both boys cleaned up, clothes in the washer, and attacked the floor under the "tent."
Hunter has also turned my coffee cup over (which was sitting on the cabinet by the microwave). I still don't know how he reached it. It wasn't hot any more, but boy, this Mimi can move fast. Finally, got all of that cleaned up off the cabinets and the floor.
Heath managed to dump his milk on the carpet. He was just holding the cup upside down and watching it pour out. Then he played in the puddle he made. I had to change his clothes again.
I didn't respond to that e-mail. How can I? What would I say? Maybe I should just pay her more??!?! I did arrive to pick up the boys this afternoon with a large fountain Diet Dr. Pepper. It's her favorite.
