Fearless

I was sitting in the playroom the other day with the boys. I was sitting on the futon folding laundry and the boys were playing on the other side of the ball pit. When I looked up, I noticed that Hunter seemed to be taller than I remembered. I got up and walked over to where they were and this is what I saw.
That wagon is not even close to sturdy and will tip over if you throw a ball at it.
Heath is usually my climber, and once he saw his brother do this, the fight was on.
Now, we don't go into the playroom without one of them climbing into the wagon. I have moved it to the middle so when they do fall they just hit the mat.
They are both completely fearless.

Amthor Poop Sagas - Take 3

Caution- If you have a weak stomach you might want to skip this one.

It started out as a regular Wednesday evening. Chris and I had just finished supper along with the boys. Right after supper they got a bath, because they were terribly messy and we were about to head out for church. So, while Chris bathed the boys, I returned to the kitchen to clean up the high chairs. Afterwards, I returned to the bathroom just in time for a rousing rendition of "Old MacDonald." A jolly time was being had by all.

Until...one of the boys stood up (I am purposely leaving out the name here to save him from future ridicule). Under this child, I noticed something that I had not seen in the bath tub before. Poop! I screamed! I completely melted down and I must say thank goodness that Chris was there.

I jerked up the baby out of the bathtub to get him out of the water. Only then did I realized that he wasn't finished. Again, I freaked! Chris, very calmly, made me hold him over the toilet. He (the unnamed baby) didn't like it, but did finish. While holding him there, I kept shrieking at Chris to get the other baby. He was still sitting in the poopy water. Yuck!

We rinsed off the babies (rescrubbing where necessary) and I diapered and dressed (and maybe even hand sanitized) the boys, while Chris drained the water, cleaned and clorxed the bathtub and all of the toys. I couldn't have done it.

Gross! Mom says it's a right of passage and that all children eventually do this...Yuck!

Well I never...

...thought I would see this in my fridge. Chris and I don't drink milk, but the boys are finally switched to real milk. That's right, no more formula in this house. Finally!
What about this? I don't eat tomatoes, therefore, I don't buy tomatoes. So, imagine my surprise when Mom fed them cherry tomatoes and they both (including my picky eater, Heath) love them.
I guess the times, they are a changing.

The Playroom

In desperate need to save my living room, we have converted the sun room that is on the back of our house into the playroom.
It has tons of windows, which can sometimes make it hot, but we plan on getting a window unit A/C. Hope that works.
It's right off of the kitchen, and the boys love to play in there while I am fixing supper. Plus, it gets them out from under my feet.
The best part...they love it! It still needs some work, but I really think it will make my life a little more organized.

...and, I can close the door when company is coming. :)

Austin and Snow Day

Chris and I got back last night from Austin. I had a TAKS conference there and my hubby was so kind to go with me so I wouldn't be alone in the big, scary city. It has been a while since we were able to get away. Mom kept the boys. It was so hard to leave them and I missed them every second that we were away, however, I did get two full nights of rest. It's amazing what just a little bit of sleep can do for a person.

Chris and I also got to eat sushi. It is one of our favorites and we don't get to have it very often. I definitely draw the line at eating sushi in West Texas. So, when we get the chance, we indulge. It was wonderful.

Today, God must have realized how much I missed my boys because, it snowed, which caused school to let out at 10. I have the rest of the day and the weekend to play and snuggle with my sweet babies. Yeah!

So, now I will leave you with some pictures from Christmas because I know that none of you get on the blog to hear about my daily ramblings.

I Love PJs

There is nothing better...
...than fresh clean babies......in fresh and clean pajamas.
The monogrammed butt flaps just give it an added level of cuteness.
