Mom and I took the boys in the Ranger to go scout for deer and turkey. The boys love to go riding in the Ranger and have thrown some pretty impressive fits if they don't get to go. Well, today they got to go and before we made it back to the house they were asleep. That's some good scouting boys. We'll have to work on that.

The Babysitter Files
Hunter dug out all of the food in the cabinet until he found the box he was looking for.
Can't reach the pedals yet brother? It's OK, I'll give you a push.
Pile in, let's go for a ride in the pink Barbie jeep.
This should be an advertisement for "Don't Drink and Drive."
What, we weren't doing anything?!?! Look at those innocent faces!

Pictures from the Hospital
Our favorite nurse, gave Heath a cupcake with orange icing. I'm pretty sure the orange icing was the only thing he ate while he was in the hospital.
Once he started feeling better, he loved going to the playroom or riding around in the wagon. We were quite a sight, with Mimi pulling the wagon and me following along behind with the IV stand, Heath enjoyed the ride.
I can't say I blame him, I wouldn't have wanted to sleep in that Oxygen tent by myself either. I tried to cuddle with him until he fell asleep, but the bed was a little small.
Heath seems to be doing much better. Thank you for your prayers. He has finished his breathing treatments 3 times a day and now only has to have them as needed. I think he feels a lot better. He is more active and a lot more outgoing. It seems as if he was a little reserved because he wasn't getting enough air. Now, the sweet boy is just as active as Hunter is...which just might kill this Momma. :)

21 months
At 21 months the boys:
*can open the refrigerator and pull everything out.
*love to pull books and movies off of the shelves and make sure they are scattered around the entire house.
*Talk up a storm, and I can understand most of what they say.
*attempt to flood the bathroom every time they take a bath.
* can be the sweetest boys to one another....however, they can also be down right ornery!
*best of all they know their upper and lower case letters (see the videos below).
I know the videos are not very clear and you can't hear very well but it shows that they do know them. Hunter points them out to us all the time now, in books, t-shirts, and signs. Heath knows them too, but still is not very vocal about them. While we were in the hospital with Heath, he surprised us all by telling us what color the blocks were that he was playing with. They have been working on their letters, numbers, and colors. You can never start too early!

Hospital Whirlwind!
Chris and his dad got up at 3:30 Thursday morning, got ready, kissed us goodbye, and at 4:00 headed out for Colorado on their elk hunting trip.
The rest of the morning went normally, until Mom called me at 9:30, to tell me she didn't think cough medicine would do the trick and I needed to take Heath to the Dr. I went and got Heath and took him to the Clinic here in Iraan. The doctor looked him over, they gave him a breathing treatment, took some X-Rays and sent us to our pediatrician in Odessa.
I picked up Mom and Hunter on the way to Odessa. When I got to the pediatricians office, they had just opened back up after lunch. They ushered Heath and I straight back (with no waiting, you should have seen the looks we got from the other patients). Dr. Ranga took one look at the poor baby and with out using her stethoscope said she was going to put him in the hospital because he was gray and she could hear him wheezing from across the room. My heart did a somersault. Did she just say HOSPITAL? It hadn't even occurred to me at this point that the hospital was even an option!
I went and got Mom from the waiting room, who proceeded to give Heath another breathing treatment while the nurses occupied Hunter. I was rushed to admitting to fill out the paperwork to put Heath in the hospital. When I reached the down stairs, I was ushered to the front of the admitting line, because Dr. Ranga had called down stairs and told them it was an emergency.
With in 20 minutes of getting to Dr. Ranga's office we were at the Hospital with a room and IV's running. They did a nasal swab and a throat swab, antibiotics, steroids, oxygen tent, 2 more sets of X-Rays and breathing treatments every two hours. I did not hold it together very well and had to leave the room when the swabs and IV's were being inserted. I called Chris to let him know he "owes me BIG time."
It was impossible to keep Hunter entertained, so my Dad came and got him, and took him to my wonderful boss, who kept him until my Mother-In-Law could get to my house to watch him.
The entire thing was such a whirl wind. We were finally released from the hospital yesterday, with more medicine than I could carry. We have a breathing machine to be used 3 times a day, daily Singular that he must take until April, and a steroid just in case he needs it again before we can reach a hospital.
Dr. Ranga was amazing, I love her. She did determine that it was not Pneumonia, but it was just a severe asthma attack. I now know what asthma looks like and can keep a better eye out for these symptoms, hopefully it won't get that bad again.
Sorry, no pictures, I did take some, but I don't have the energy to figure out how to get them off of my camera.
