That Famous Hubby of Mine

If you get a chance, pick up a copy of this magazine.  It's the January/February edition of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine.  It's on news stands now.  There are two pictures of Chris.  I'm a pretty proud wife.

I pledge allegiance...

This past week it was the boys turn to say the pledge at school.  Heath was spot on with the Texas Pledge and actually said it so fast that the rest of the school couldn't keep up.  Hunter got a little confused on which pledge he was supposed to say, and instead of saying the Texas pledge, he said the US pledge.  The crowd just followed along like that is what we were supposed to do the whole time. This is definitely a perk to being a teacher at the same school my babies go to.  So stinkin` adorable if I do say so myself!

Sorry Heath's pictures are a little blurry, I wasn't prepared with my camera, so their Awesome PreK teacher (Aunt Kay)  took the pictures for me.

Boy meets Girl

My boys have a favorite female friend in their prek class.  Hunter likes her more than Heath, but not a whole lot more.  She just turned 5 this week.  She is so stinkin' cute, adorable, and I am glad that my boys are drawn to the cute ones.

The problem....They are 5.  Aren't they supposed to think that girls have cooties at this age?  Aren't they suppose to give Momma a few more years before this kind of thing happens?  I don't like this I tell you...I don't like this one bit.

She is super cute and maybe someday they can like girls (like when they are 30), but at this moment in time they are only allowed to like football and chicken nuggets.  That. Is. It. I think I want to go back in time when they couldn't walk and hold my sweet babies tight and don't think about girls.

I really think they only like her because she is tough.  She can play football and tackle just like the rest of the boys.  At least that is what I am going to keep telling myself.

Stock Show Season

January marks the beginning of stock show season for my neice and nephews.  However, at the local stock show this past weekend, Heath got to join in on the fun.  He showed one of his cousin, Owen's, sheep in the PeeWee division.  He was so proud of himself and was such a big boy while he was out there.  He won a green participation ribbon.  Hunter wasn't ready to show this year, but maybe next year!

Christmas Morning 2013

This boys were very specific about what the wanted Santa to bring them this year. Heath wanted a red jersey with the number 4-4 on it, and Hunter wanted a black jersey with the number 1-5 on it. They also asked for real football stuff.

Santa was very generous and got them exactly what they asked for (even though the "real" football helmet and pads swallow them in size). They love them.

It was a perfect day.

School Christmas Party

Birthday Fun

Tuesday was the boys 5th birthday. As my cousins would say, they are officially a handful. Since we usually have a large half Birthday party for them, we played this day a little more low key.

We started the morning by waking up
To a living room full of balloons and a breakfast of honeybuns with birthday candles (don't judge me, it's what they wanted).

We got ready for school and donned our birthday buttons.
As school, we got to go to the front of the cafeteria while the entire elementary sang us happy birthday. 2 girls at our school share the same birthday.
At school we had a snack of birthday cup cakes with our classmates, and after school we opened a few presents from Mom and Dad.
We got RC trucks, hunting action figures, and walkie talkies.

Later, we went out to eat with Mom and Dad and Mimi and Papa, also our good friend Karen. We blew out #5 candles, but together they look like 55.

It was a great birthday!
