The Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

We've made it a tradition to visit the pumpkin patch and the corn maze every fall. Click here and here to see our last two trips.

This past weekend we met our good friend, Kayin, at Fiddlesticks for an afternoon of fall fun.

We sat on really big pumpkins (or pun-tins, as Hunter and Heath say)

We took our picture in a field of Pumpkins. To see this picture from a year ago, click here

We got a little worried about the tractor, especially when the driver started it up right as Momma started snapping pictures.

We loved the petting zoo. Heath especially loved the piglets.

The "three amigos" having fun.

They walked for a long way like this, so adorable!

We really loved the LOOONNNNGGGG slide!

The popcorn bouncer was our favorite, even though Daddy bounced us a little rough.

Of course, we had to stop and let Daddy shoot the pumpkin cannon a few times.

Then, we went and rode on the cow train. Lolly and Pops took us on the dusty ride. What Fun!

Mom made us pose by the pretty flowers. Come on Mom, boys don't pose with flowers!

According to this same picture from last year, we've grown about half a foot.

The maze was a lot of fun, too, but that is a lot of walking for two little boys.

We had to stop and rest a few times. (or maybe just to play in the dirt)

At one point, Hunter decided he was "pooped" and decided to lay down on the pathway, refusing to go any farther.

We all had a blast and can't wait to go next year.

Guess

Guess what these two cuties are going to be for Halloween.

Hint *** These shower caps will be worn on their heads (If I can convince them to keep them on).

Butterflies

Last week the Monarch Migration moved through town. I have never seen anything quite like it. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I'm not usually a big fan of butterflies. I don't like pictures of butterflies, I will not wear them on my clothes or jewelry, and, over all, they kind of freak me out! However, I will say that I was totally amazed with the number of butterflies that took over our town for a few days. It was pretty cool.

Daddy's Huntin` Buddies

In honor of bow hunting season opening this past weekend, here are some pictures of Chris helping Hunter with his "form." Hunter is so funny. He carries this toy bow with him on his battery operated 4 wheeler like he is ready to go hunting. He must be watching his daddy TOO closely.

Mom and I took the boys in the Ranger to go scout for deer and turkey. The boys love to go riding in the Ranger and have thrown some pretty impressive fits if they don't get to go. Well, today they got to go and before we made it back to the house they were asleep. That's some good scouting boys. We'll have to work on that.

No comments on my hat! At least the sun wasn't in my eyes!

The Babysitter Files

I am so blessed to have a babysitter who loves my boys just as much as I do. I was going through Mom's camera the other day and noticed that she had a lot of pictures of the boys doing cute things on it. So I stole them off of her camera, and would like to present you with "The Babysitter Files." They are in no particular order and some of them date pretty far back, but they are just too cute not to post.

Hunter dug out all of the food in the cabinet until he found the box he was looking for.

Can't reach the pedals yet brother? It's OK, I'll give you a push.

Pile in, let's go for a ride in the pink Barbie jeep.

This should be an advertisement for "Don't Drink and Drive."

What, we weren't doing anything?!?! Look at those innocent faces!

The boys were about 1 year old here, and that laundry basket is still one of their favorite places to play.

Well, the laundry basket....and the bottom kitchen drawer. I used to play in that same drawer when I was little.

The livestock show last January

Showin` off the camo coveralls.
Remember when they could only crawl....they didn't out run me then!

I'm too tired to eat, Mimi.

I love this picture! It's definitely one of my favorites.

Football season last year
...and that concludes our walk down memory lane. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Pictures from the Hospital

The saddest thing I have seen, was my baby in a hospital gown.

Our favorite nurse, gave Heath a cupcake with orange icing. I'm pretty sure the orange icing was the only thing he ate while he was in the hospital.

Once he started feeling better, he loved going to the playroom or riding around in the wagon. We were quite a sight, with Mimi pulling the wagon and me following along behind with the IV stand, Heath enjoyed the ride.

I can't say I blame him, I wouldn't have wanted to sleep in that Oxygen tent by myself either. I tried to cuddle with him until he fell asleep, but the bed was a little small.

Heath seems to be doing much better. Thank you for your prayers. He has finished his breathing treatments 3 times a day and now only has to have them as needed. I think he feels a lot better. He is more active and a lot more outgoing. It seems as if he was a little reserved because he wasn't getting enough air. Now, the sweet boy is just as active as Hunter is...which just might kill this Momma. :)
